Obituary:
Vienna, April 15 - Last rites were conducted this afternoon at the B. A. Sanborn & Son funeral home at Camden for Herman Bridenbecker Sr., 78, former hotel owner of this place and one-time proprietor of a hotel at Chittenango Station, who died suddenly Saturday night at Syracuse.
Mr. Bridenbacker had resided the past seven years, since retiring from the local hotel, with a daughter, Mrs. Carl C. Kuehneman, 806 W. Onondaga St., Syracuse. Upon his return from a walk on Saturday evening, he fell on a flight of stairs at the daughter's home, and sustained a fractured vertebrae. He passed away before medical aid could be summoned.
Besides the daughter at whose home he died, Mr. Bridenbacker leaves his wife, who lives here; another daughter, Mrs. Frank McGowan of Syracuse; three sons, Herman, who now conducts the Vienna hotel, Julius of Buffalo and Frank of Chittenango Station. He leaves also a brother, Eugene Bridenbacker of Blossvale; and three grandchildren, Mrs. Andrew Kinney of Vienna, L.O. Richard of Syracuse and William Bridenbacker of Buffalo.
The Rev. W.E Baker.pastor of the North Bay circuit of the M.E. Church, officiated at the funeral service and at the burial service at North Bay.
