    • Obituary:
      John J. Cochran, 74, died at the Morning Sun Manor in Morning Sun Wednesday, Sept. 10, about 4 p.m.

      The son of Mr. and Mrs. Albert Cochran, he was born January 22, 1895 at Keswick. He had resided in Mt. Pleasant the past six years, residing at the Kincaid Trailer Court until his illness a year and a half ago.

      Mr. Cochran was a carpenter. He was a veteran of World War I.

      Surviving are three daughters, Mrs. Hubert (Eileen) Neel of Corydon, Mrs. Charles (Darlene) Turnbaugh of San Mateo, Calif., and Mrs. Arnold (Evaleen) DeJaynes of New London; nine grandchildren and six great-grandchildren; two sisters, and two brothers, Mrs. Grace Snakenburg of Sigourney, Mrs. Charles Taylor of Freemont, Nebr., and William Cochran of Ceder Rapids, and Henry Cochran of Sigourney.

      Funeral services will be held Saturday, Sept 13, at 2 p.m. at the Church of the Open Bible, with Rev. T. H. Staton, pastor of the at San Gabriel, Calif., pastor of the Church of the Open Bible and Rev Chester Potts, pastor of the Church of the Open Bible,officiating.

      Interment will be in Forest Home Cemetery.
