    • Obituary:
      Lyle W. Austin, 62, of Perryville died Tuesday at State University Hospital, Syracuse, after a long illness. He was life resident of Perryville. Mr. Austin was employed by General Motors in Syracuse 22 years. For the past 18 years, he owned and operatedAustin's Service Station, Chittenango. He was a member of the Perryville United Methodist Church, the Royal Arch Masons, the Central City Council 13 RSM, Central City Commandry 25, past master of Sullivan Lodge 148 F&AM, past patron of Beatrice Chapter OES and a past president of the Past Masters Association of the Cortland-MadisonDistrict. Surviving are his wife, the former Jennie Hobb; three daughters, ... ; 2 sisters, Mrs. Charles Andrews of Perryville and Mrs. Robert Griffiths of Morrisville, 8 grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. Services will be at 11 a.m. Friday at the Tyler Traus funeral home, Chittenago, the Rev. Harriet B. Hedgbeth officiating. Burial will be in Perryville Cemetery. Contributions may be made to the Perryville United Methodist Church memorial fund or the Madison County Unit of the American Cancer Society.
