    • Obituary:
      Fort Hall -- Ray Orchard, 70, passed away Thursday, March 30, 2000, at his home in Fort Hall while doing what he loved.

      Ray was born in Pocatello on October 22, 1929, the third child to William John and Norma Selena (Sundstorn) Orchard. He attended school in Fort Hall.

      He married Florence Moldenhauer on September 3, 1948, an later solemnized their marriage in the Idaho Falls temple on July 31, 1975.

      Ray worked for BIA for 32 years until February 1, 1980, then he began working at Idaho Potato Packers for five years. He had rentals in Fort Hall which kept him very busy until the time of his death.

      He was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, and held many offices such as high priest group leader, Sunday school president and Primary worker. Ray and Florence served in the Idaho Falls temple doing sealing and were currently stake missionaries.

      He loved hunting and fishing as well as going to their home in Island Park. Ray had many friends and relatives that will miss him dearly.

      Survivors include his wife of 51 1/2 years, Florence, of Fort Hall; daughters, ... ; son ... ; brother ... ; sister ... ; 21 grandchildren and 22 great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents, a brother, Robert Dale Orchard, and a great-grandchild, Payton Orchard.

      Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. Monday, April 3, 2000, at the LDS Church 44th Ward Chapel. The family will receive friends from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. on Sunday, April 2, 2000, at Colonial Funeral Home, 2005 S. Fourth Ave., Pocatello, and one hour prior to services at the church. Burial will follow at the Grove City Cemetery in Blackfoot.
