      Obituary:
      Frederick Roland, 76, of the 1600 block of East Grand Avenue died of cancer Monday at Kavanagh House on Grand in West Des Moines. The body was cremated, and no services are planned.

      Mr. Roland was born in Des Moines and had lived in Maryland, Texas, California and Virginia before returning here 13 years ago. He had owned and operated R&S Enterprises and was an Army veteran and a member of St. Mark's Episcopal Church, American Legion, Moose Lodge, Veterans of Foreign Wars and AMVETS. He enjoyed auctions, antiques and bingo..

      He is survived by a son, ... ; and a sister, Barbara C. Musgrave, and a brother, Dewey R., both of Des Moines.

      Memorial contributions may be made to Kavangh House on Grand in West Des Moines. Hamilton's Funeral Home is handling arrangements.
