      VAN RIPER-- Ellis F. The Transport Workers Union of America, AFL-CIO, morns the death on December 16, of its international Vice President, Ellis F.Van Riper. Active early in the organizing of TWU in New York City Transit System's power houses, Van Riperserved as a Local 100 Shop Steward,Section Chairman, Organizer, Executive Board Member, Secretary-Treasurer and President from 1974 - 1977. He also served for a number of years asVice President of the New York State AFL-CIO. We convey our deepest sympathies to his wife, Viola, and daughter, Carolyn, and the grandchildren.Viewing Sunday only, 2-5 and 7-10 P.M. at Wiegand Funeral Home, 49 Hillside Avenue, Williston Park. Mass of Resurrection, Monday December 19, 9:30A.M., St Andrew's Episcopal Church, Center St. Williston Park.
